It’s been a while since I went out of the house and partied all night. I don’t even know if I would enjoy it now. I have started enjoying the family life and I have been in this life-style for a while now. I did feel that I had started enjoying it, however I guess there are times when it gets a little overwhelming. Maybe, it is one of those days today. :)
I remember the times when I was in my early years working for the first job I had after completing my under graduate degree. WOW! I had some new friends at work and we would party at least 3 days a week and the weekends were always a new experience. Time was never a measure and it flowed like sand never questioning on my conduct or raising an eyebrow that I might not be ethically correct. Then, the idea of changing my profession happened and everything changed.
I decided to change my line of work and everything around my surrounding went upside down. I had to start being aware of my conduct at all times. I had to understand how I was being interpreted by my clients. I had to be aware if I was making them uncomfortable or were they feeling calm and secured to discuss their inner most issues. The challenge was really exciting at first and enjoyable. I was interested in finding a way to navigate through every obstacle that came towards my direction and felt happy and excited every time I crossed them successfully. Then came my biggest nightmare.
An obstacle that rocked my boat to an extent that I did not know how to recover from to an extent where I had to change my course and reach a higher ground for safety. Professionally, it was a better opportunity, however I feel maybe I did not have enough experience to understand the working that were performed in the background that ultimately reached to the point when my services were applied within the system. Things are not always as straight forward as we might feel things to be in front of us. As I write this article, I realize that the background is as important as the service provided by myself at the point of work and it is a good practice to trust the processes in the back ground to be able to conduct your own job effectively. The trust is the most important aspect of all processes while providing service. This self-realization might be the true path towards true happiness while providing support to clients in the future at work.
