This work is part-time, you are free to choose the time when you want to work, and how much work you want to get, this of course, depends on the availability of the jobs. At the time of posting, there is a lot of work avaialble.

what you need

You will need a reliable internet connection, and a good command of the English language and its syntaxes and good researching skills.

A good set of earphones is also needed, i'm using an in-ear Razer headphone, and also have a Plantronics USB headset. I have invested in them as they are my main source of income.

A working laptop or PC, I think a Chromebook would also suffice.

payment

I have been working with them for the past 4 months and they've never missed payment, I've heard of horror stories about companies who do not pay their contractors overseas. in their case, all payments are on time. Payout is every two weeks via Paypal. Which brings me to another important thing...

Work rate depends on the project, there are some that paid $0.50, and I have worked on some that paid higher. Proofing rates starts at $0.15. Rates are based on per-minute of audio. If you do not have any previous transcribing experience, a beginner with a typing speed of 45wpm usually takes an hour to finish 10 audio minutes. I have been doing this job for more than a decade so I only need half that time.

example, I transcribed 30 minutes of audio at a rate of $0.50 per minute, i will be paid $15 for it. It takes me about an hour and a half to finish a job like that, but for beginners, it may take longer.
