in world •  7 years ago

Fish do not flap their fins just to gesticulate. But a species of fish called Coral groupers, gesticulate to coordinate with the rest of the members of their group to hunt for food together. When they are successful in trapping preys, they point their nose towards them and dance to signal the prey’s presence. The fish also use the same signal to call for action like, ‘let’s go hunting this weekend’. This kind of fish join the elite species that have managed to harness the power of booty popping, like honey bees and humans.
