Surfing around the world - best spots I have tried surfing

in world •  8 years ago

Surfing was one of my hobbies when I was younger and was lucky enough to surf in some sweet spots.

Below are some pics from Byron Bay, Australia where I surfed 10 years ago.

Byron is one of the best places to learn surfing with top notch teachers and good waves for beginners.

Watch out for the rainy season in Byron, it is harsh and best avoided.

Kauai
Kauai's north west beaches are another sweet spots to surf. Locals can be possessive over spots but the waves and weather

are amazing there . I tried surfing on the beach on the east side of Kauai and was pushed out to the beach by brutal waves

You can not go wrong with surfing in Hawaii just some sunscreen and weather forecast.

Bali is another cool surfing spot with great waves i had been to. The ocean around Bali is warm and waves are good for beginners

and advanced. The water in Bali can get little dirty with garbage which is little sad to see.

Locals are friendly and keen to rent you their boards on the beach for a good price.

Tofino, on Vancouver Island, Canada the home of the Canadian Olympic surfing team.

Here in the Canada the water is always cold and the waves can get very big in winter which is exciting.

Must wear a wet suit even in summer in Tofino, and the rental can get expensive in this lovely tourist town.

The waters of Canada in Tofino and @ucluelet are COLD! But it's totally worth it.

Surprised today the water in Vancouver was warm in shallow water in Spanish banks
