India, officially known as the Republic of India, is a country located in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country in the world by land area and the second-most populous country, after China. As of my last update in September 2021, here are some key facts about India:

President: The President is the head of state, and the Prime Minister is the head of government.

Currency: Indian Rupee (INR)
Major religions: Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
Geography: India has a diverse landscape, ranging from the Himalayan mountains in the north to the coastal regions in the south and the Thar Desert in the west.
Economy: India has a mixed economy, and it is considered one of the fastest-growing major economies globally. It has a significant services sector, including IT and software services, as well as a substantial manufacturing sector.
India has a rich history and cultural heritage, with numerous historical sites, temples, and landmarks that attract tourists from all over the world. The country is known for its diverse cuisine, vibrant festivals, Bollywood film industry, and traditional arts and crafts.
