Hello all, and welcome to my first post on Steemit.com, and my first review for World of Ether. I have a lot yet to learn about this game, but I have 22+ years of background and experience participating in competitive pet raising and battling genre games, as well as 22+ years experience writing fiction and non fiction for various projects. In this review, I will endeavor to share my experience with you, over several parts, and possibly offer tips for you along the way. In future, I may create a more concise guide, or a strictly tips only guide, etc. But this is not that guide. This is also a chance for me to experiment and experience blogging and posting on Steemit. Consider this more of a journaling approach, perhaps.

Posts may be edited in future, for proofreading and accuracy purposes. Formatting and written content of these posts belong to me. Photos and media linked do not, however, belong to me, unless otherwise stated. Please reach out to me if sources are desired, or for any other issues. =) Thank you. Let's get started, shall we?

Part 1 - Introduction

How did I come across World of Ether?

My recent partner and I have been studying crypto together for several months. My partner, however, has 5+ years of experience supporting decentralized projects, as well as educating others about their value and function in our world. I am comparatively new to the crypto world, but after a lot of research, and with my partner's help, I, too, have come to find that this technology and the combined sum of everyone's efforts in the crypto world and crypto gaming world alike can spell out huge advancements for our future, and for future generations to come.

With this realization in mind, I turned my attention to Dapps (decentralised apps, or, apps with a "D"), and was so excited to find so many bright, young programmers sharing a passion for the browser-type pet games that I had come to love and familiarize myself with as an internet child over the years. Sites like the now semi-ancient, yet classic, Neopets, Pokemon fan and browser games, fantasy pet breeding, horse breeding, and just about everything else in between came to mind.

A great aspect about these typically 2D types of collecting games is the pleasure (and oftentimes addiction) of collecting, raising, and curating a virtual world all your own. I have also enjoyed participating in virtual marketplaces in games with fellow players, where the community discusses its small microcosm and attempts to predict the state of its own economy together, much like a "play" version of our real trading word. World of Ether is such a game that offers this.
