Sheltered by mountains that resemble titanic guardians prostrate like a wall, smells of coffee plantations, hydrated by the incessant currents of the Luisa River and submerged under the infinite atmosphere of cordiality, where the neighbor's good morning is accompanied by the `` Are you going to drink tintico? (a cup of coffee). That coffee, harvested by peasant hands full of hope and sweetened by panela, derived from sugar cane, harvested in the same region; given the climatic variety available of the “tierrita” (colloquial term).
The great inspiration of Don Aristóbulo García Ávila, gives natives and visitors a wonderful literary description of the town. The following are lines of inspiration from Don Aristóbulo, reflected in the hymn of the little town:
Rovira, tiny town
In you I lived my childhood and my best dreams
Your steep streets, they form in my memory
Picturesque landscapes, which time has not erased
Little town, life has taken me
By different roads, by different paths
And old companions just like grandparents
Travelers of life are gone forever.

Chorus
Rovira, land of my elders Of my old loves
I'll never forget you
And I want it to always be great
Haughty, generous,
that's how I want to see you
And I want it to always be great
Haughty, generous, that's how I want to see you.

Rio Luisa, it keeps so many secrets
From the first dates, the first kiss resounds.
Guaco, obligatory walk,
the same mateguadua
Cascada de Martínez,
places that are not forgotten
Your ceiba, centennial witness Of childish dreams and bohemian night,
Smell of coffee plantations,
it comes from La Chapa,
imposing mountains that my people take care of ...

The rovirense is the result of the miscegenation of the Pijao tribal society and members of the Spanish society, the latter, represented by the nobleman Juan de Borja, who by 1570 managed to subdue the Pijao community, led by the chief Mi-Ara- Ka, and name the place Miraflores. The territory has undergone the metamorphosis from being a town to becoming a municipality, and it was in 1930 that it was renamed Rovira García. However, there was a town with that name in the department of Santander, the name of Rovira is attributed, thus avoiding confusion.

Most of the population of Rovira is located in rural areas called veredas, which can be reached in campero-type vehicles that are mostly Toyota brand, and are duly organized in a cooperative. The population of the municipality increases drastically for the days when the coffee is matured, and that people colloquially know by the name of "harvest." And this is the time most awaited by all the inhabitants of the region, because merchants and farmers manage to increase their monetary liquidity as a result of the commercialization of the coffee fruit, whether in a green state (wet coffee) and / or dry.

Between the months of April and May, the coffee plantations go from having a dark green color and the frondness of their branches, to staining each corner of the coffee tree red, filling with joy from the infant to the oldest of the family that lives on the farm. This is the moment in which there is massive migrations of "andariegos" coffee collecting personnel, coming from other coffee growing regions such as Antioquia, Risaralda, Quindio, Caldas and Huila, among others.

The coordination and courtesy that is breathed in the environment of the town and rural area, is impregnated in genetics of the Rovirense. In the parks it is usual to find groups of two or more grandparents, sharing life stories, archived in their memory, and attracting the attention of young people. It is these grandparents that Don Aristóbulo refers to in his lines from the Hinmo de Rovira, and points out them as "travelers of life." Likewise, in the parks members of the child population frequent, making use of swings and other attractions of the place, and they do not let go unnoticed to taste the famous "Picolin" ice cream. The two extreme hemispheres of the life cycle converge in the same place, where the grandfather would like to have the vitality and spirit of adventure, without losing his coat of stories and battles, fought in the course of his life.
