VEILED!

I originally wrote this post for a contest. However, I eventually decided not to proceed with that idea. Since it's on the blockchain, I couldn't delete the post, so I simply removed my contest entry comment and kept this post.

Beneath the delicate fabric lies a mystery that will forever remain concealed!

So this idea of veil has a metaphorical value for me. You may veil your true side from the world, but you can't hide it from your own self; you can always see your true face.

Having said that, people who keep telling lies to others often start believing them as truth. I believe that habitual fib-telling can eventually blur one's perception of reality. And that's truly a dangerous thing! How can one operate as a functional human being with this trait? How would they ever distinguish reality from fantasy?

And then there is a WHOLE other psychological aspect to these veiled faces. Sometimes they hide their agony and pain behind the masks of smile... There is this verse in urdu which roughly translates to:

how is it so that you are smiling so much,
what is the sorrow that you are hiding??

This trait is not as common as the one I mentioned earlier. People often do this to cope with pain or to protect themselves emotionally. This ability to conceal one's pain can be both a strength and a vulnerability. While it can help individuals navigate difficult situations or protect their privacy, it can also hinder genuine connections and emotional well-being if taken to an extreme.

But my point stands that you can't lie to yourself for too long. Trying to deceive yourself or deny the truth may work temporarily, but eventually, reality tends to surface. Sooner or later, the truth comes out. And when it does, it may be a challenging experience!

That is of course my perspective. You are free to share your thoughts:)

Hello, hello. Can I still be your mentor?
Great that you edited your post... Why?!
Well, I think you have ears.
Please. Don't chase the "big fish" and their contests! Please swim around in the ocean and find the pearls. Please explain your subjective opinion on articles - you have the intellect for it!
Please NEVER care about the supposed strength of an account. Please be yourself, because you are good!

Well, I think you have ears.

And I hope, I never lose em :)

I had to read your article twice, or maybe thrice, and the comments/dialogues that followed and only then I could imagine the feelings of nostalgia attached to that era of 'herrings-with-ears.'

So, what do I do to stay motivated? Things have changed, and people are definitely chasing the 'big fish.' I wouldn't want to. I love my creativity, but then again, I want the other herrings to take notice of me.

'جنگل میں مور ناچا کس نے دیکھا'
(Translation: 'Who saw the dancing peacock in the forest?')

The dance of a peacock, however beautiful it may be, is still beyond verification/validation for a common villager. In other words, there would hardly be anyone in the village who would have witnessed this colorful plumage-dancing peacock.

Please explain your subjective opinion on articles -

That, I will do for sure...

Swimming around, swimming around, just a little, little fish looking for a way to find pearls.

Consistency, creativity and uniqueness make most fish attentive and interested.

I believe you have everything what it takes to turn heads around - just stay consistent.

Good things take time.

Thank you for the honour of reading the article and even reading it several times because you wanted to understand it so badly.

Now, in this comment, you have picked up thoughts and conclusions about the fable. Quite clever. Accentuated with a very wise quote. Write something like that where it belongs: under the article (the articles of the users you follow out of real interest in their texts). Other users see such comments that stand out from the crowd! They start to take an interest in you, look at your blog and notice that there are very good individual articles by you. Then one or the other will also follow you and read you more often. That is the way. The way is not "chumming up" (although sometimes it works with very penetrating users...). The path is stony and sometimes takes a long time. Be patient, Rome was not built in a day. Hira has already summed up my long lex very well in advance.... ;-)

Have a good start to the week!

Hi there

Hello, hello. Can I still be your mentor?

Hell, YES.
Well, as I said in my post, you can't forever mask your true self... So I instantly regretted sharing this portrait. I mean, I have nothing against these contests, but somehow, this one felt like selling myself out, and I was instantly disgusted. So, yeah, I pulled out from this one. I think our conscience is our best guide, and it does tell when something doesn't feel right.
I have too much to learn but I guess, I will be learning from my mistakes. And of course your guidance now and then 🙂

felt like selling myself out

Wow, what an honest self-reflection!
It's great that you have drawn consequences from this. I bet 80% of the users don't (if they even think about it)... ;-)
