Great post. This looks very cool! Can you tell me, do the plants that are growing have direct access to the vermicompost? Or do you have to take out the compost at the bottom and then sprinkle it onto the plant soil?

Yes the plants would have access to the compost. The center tube will have holes all the way down. This allows the moisture and worms to travel out into the soil where the plants will root. After some time of adding scraps into the tube you will eventually need to empty out the tube. You can sprinkle it back on top or use else where in other garden areas.
