Cat-6 day: WPA2 is dead, back to wired internet.

Guess what I'll be doing today. It's cat-6 day today. For me, but it should be for you as well. WPA2 is broken. Broken badly. This will be my last post that I make over my good old WiFi connection.

None of us should be using WiFi now. Not until this is fixed. Something that will take months and could take years.

So get yourself to the shop and buy yourself some cat-6 cable, some RJ45 connectors, and if needed some tools.

Get online (not using WiFi of cause) and order yourself some of those USB ethernet thingies for all those devices that don't come with an ethernet connector, upgrade your 4g plan so you have sufficient data to keep your phone happy without WiFi, and start making a plan about what to do with those IoT type of things in your house. Turn them off if its an option. If not, then try to gauge the risks of either leaving them on and connected or on without an actual access point to give them connectivity.

We really need to take this serious, friends, WPA2 is dead and with it secure WiFi is dead, at least for the coming months, if not for years to come.
