Jari-Matti Latvala doesn't want to let Ott Tänak be the main driver for Toyota.

Today we received an article from my local newspaper saying the following -

Last seasons main driver for Toyota - Jari-Matti Latvala told in an interview for AutoSport that he doesn't want to allow Ott Tänak to be the main driver for Toyota!

"I've worked very hard for Yaris to be my car. Now Tänak needs to get on the line with the car," told Latvala. "I think that inside the team, the competition will be really good. For the upcoming season we have gathered an really strong team."

For the experienced finnish guys words, he's goal is just one thing - to become the World Champion. "For that I need to be faster than anyone - including Ott."

Latvala thinks that the beginning of Ott Tänaks year will be hard - Latvala has also moved out of M-Sport and changed team, when he joined Volkswagen in 2013. "I remember the time and also that changing the team wasn't easy at all. Moving to Toyota was although easier, because I already had the exprience of changing teams.

But for Ott it's first time, and getting used to new environment may be hard at the beginning. "When I went to Volkswagen, I had a feeling like it was Sébastien Ogiers team, because he had been there from the beginning of the time. If you are faster than your teammates - that's okay, if not you will be just left in the shadows!"
