WWE vs. IMPACT: Creating the Ultimate PPV

in wrestling •  8 years ago

Having a crossover PPV between WWE and IMPACT is something I've thought about for awhile; however, the ideal PPV would have been when Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, and A.J. Styles were still with TNA. Now this would likely be about five hours of wrestling, which would be glorious, but let's get right to the details.

It's a neat idea, but I think current TNA lacks an identity. The best timeframe for something like this would have been 2007, which was arguably the only time in history that TNA was consistently producing better TV than the WWE.

Some might say 2005.

Once Hogan and Bischoff, mostly Hogan, joined in 2010, it was done.

Exactly. TNA's roster is really weak too.

Everybody leaves because the paychecks are late. :D

It's amazing that they gave Hogan the Moon and then some, and couldn't afford to pay AJ. Shows the kind of leader Dixie is. Or was.

TNA began to crumble in 2010 and has limped on ever since. A.J. was their saving grace.
