I'm getting almost zero comments on an account with over 3500 followers plus I've helped create a community and am decently connected to a bunch of active users and I know a lot of those are bots and inactive, though.. Feels a bit quieter recently. I see similar on other peoples pages too. Makes me feel really bad for a lot of people who are just getting started!
Plus steem remaining so low in value when so many of us thought it would be so much higher by now. Though.. I remember back when steem was below $1 and I would post numerous times a day and barely ever made anything.. For what seemed like months and months.. Yet.. I kept posting.. And it paid off... I have a feeling this time will be similar.
If you're worried about steemit, I am a lil bit too.. Though I still feel very confident in it long term and I personally think it'll be around 10-15 years or more. I could be wrong, but that's how I feel. And I'd be happy even if it just stayed around $1 in value.. That would be awesome to see an alternate currency spring up that works and that allows people all over the world to earn more from their computers or phones or where ever.
I have a feeling you'll be pretty happy if you stick through the tough times.
I can't say for sure.. And I've seen some sketchy weird questionable things during my time here, but in the end.. I think the positives outweigh all the bads and.. I have a feeling there will be good times again. :)
Despite some of the controversy especially surrounding SMT's and such, I've seen enough behind the scenes and met enough witnesses and talked to influential people and watch them talk amongst each other, that I really doubt this is all just going to fall apart any time soon.. It could! I admit.. I don't know.. Maybe I'm missing something, though.. I really do think it's going to be around for a long time. :)
So if you're feeling a bit uncertain about things, that's good! It's good to be skeptical and questioning. However, some of these things tend to work in cycles.. And values go up and down and up and down and up and down.. So.. If we're going down, hopefully it's only a matter of time till we go back up again. ._.
Either way, whatever the case. Even if somehow steemit crashed and I lost everything and didn't make one single penny.. It would still have been worth it to meet all the awesome people I've met and to learn all the fascinating things I've learned.
That's another tip for any newer people.. If you look at it more in the light of just trying to socialize and meet people and talk and make friends and learn, rather than making money.. You'll probably end up making more money in the long term..
I did all this kinda stuff for free before money was an element, so it's easy for me to retain that mindset and be happy I'm making anything at all and my account is worth anything at all compared to the zero money from this kind of stuff I was making before.
I think this is similar in other realms as well.. Though at the very least, I think it's important to enjoy what you do.. So.. If you're not making as much money as you'd like or getting as much feedback from people, remember to just enjoy the process of creating, whatever form it may be..
Whether writing or photography or whatever.. Just enjoy creating and putting out more content and evolving and growing and, I think you'll probably make more money in the long run and end up getting more feedback also than if you focus too much on making money/external results.
And with that I think I'm done for now, hope this helped someone.. I hope someone actually even read it. Lol. :) But if not.. I'll still be around for a while.. I have a lot of faith in this place, and I feel like we're still sorta just getting started.
Exactly... Exactly, man. I am sooo appreciative of this platform for this exact reason. Those who are not on this same wavelength are confusing to me. No matter whether Steem is at 50c or $5, this new social media technology is absolutely incredible. How long have we all been using platforms like this to connect and create without payouts in mind at all? A lot longer than we’ve all been here. Keep your motivation high and continue to inspire others as we all soar to new heights together :)

Word. I feel very similar. Even if it was just a way to tip people a few dollars here and there it would be epic, but it's so much more than that and some people are making a lot of money, maybe in the future hopefully that will increase even more and more, sort of like how YouTube has helped so many.
Thanks for the encouragement, the wise words and the optimism! :) Same to you! Also well said at the end there, I have a feeling this platform is going to allow a lot of people to soar to new heights together in ways that people never really thought of before. Whatever happens, it's an exciting adventure and I'm happy to be a part of it, I mean.. The real world economy is messed up too, I don't think anyone should expect this one should be perfect. Though.. Hopefully we're moving in a better direction! And making some progress, at the very least we're learning. Which is almost always a good thing in my opinion. :D

Follow for follow? 😎
Just kidding broz. All the people I choose to be moderators in my server are college kids in school, mech engineer students nonetheless. The smart kids are in school and oh yeah a lot have been out looking for the elusive ant people...

Lol. At first I didn't really follow, but after reading it again and putting it together more.. I like this comment more and more. Hey.. Would you be up for guest judging a round in our IFC contest? I'll pay you a couple SBD? If not no worries! I just want to find one more guest judge for this round since we're almost to the end and this particular battle could use some more judges. It would probably be about.. An hour of reading? Somewhere around there. Took me longer but I like to really take my time and go through all the sources and everything as much as I can. ._. Whatever the case, hope you've been well! :D

I'll probably pay you anyways cause I'm stubborn. But awesome! Thanks for offering to help. :) Here's the link to the post and there's two different battles.
https://steemit.com/contest/@ifc/ifc-finals-third-round-ufos-aliens
One between magicalmoonlight and wholeself-in
And the other is between eaglespirit and youhavewings
Their entries are down below in the comments of the link I included and..
Your mission is to essentially decide which ones you like more, for whatever reason. It's up to you how you wanna vote, could be you learned something, or one person presented their article more to your liking, it's really up to you.
It would be nice if you left a comment on their entries explaining some of your thought process, but you don't have to. You just need to let me know either here on steemit or on discord somehow how you voted.
Thanks again for helping!! :)

That's awesome! It is 9pm currently for me. I will read these post first thing and spend sone time on them. IFC posts are like mini well written stories. Best I sit down and focus in them over a cup of joe. 😺

Word! I totally agree! By the way I forgot to mention not to worry too much about doing them too quickly, it'll probably be a couple of days before all the judges get their votes in. So no need to hurry! Take your time. :) Enjoy them! There's some really good ones I must say! Some of the best entries all season in my opinion.

Thanks for the clarification! And ahh.. I see. Yeah.. I was thinking also that a lot of people are out enjoying summer as well, and are likely more cuddled up around their computers and phones in the winter when it's colder. I have a feeling things will pick up around Christmas again. But.. Who knows!

It's similarly hot here in Arizona so I can relate! Though it's nice to get out for late night walks or early morning.. That's one cool thing about summer nights in the desert, the mornings and nights are often really nice! :D

Hello my friend @apolymask. I am with you dear. I am skeptical and questioning sometimes, and a little nervous too. But when I do, I always looked back on how and what this platform had made me. I meet a lot of new friends like you, enhanced my skills whatever that is, haha and learned a lot of things from different people all across the world. In the end, it is all good. With or without steemit, I would still be happy and will be around. I also believe that the value of steem/sbd will go up soon and last longer than we expected.

That's an awesome attitude. :) I have a feeling you're going to do well on here thinking like you do! And also, I hope you're right in regards to steem/sbd going up and staying there longer, I definitely would like that and I'm sure a lot of other people would as well. It's going to be curious to see how it all scales! I don't think anyone has ever quite done something quite like this before, so there's some new territory to be discovered and we're all sort of pioneers in a sense in this digital frontier. :D Cheers!

Its hard to say what the future will be for Steemit. I will admit, I wasn't around for the sub $1 days, but it is a hell of a lot more motivating for EVERYONE when the currency is high like when we were always around $3-4.

Agreed! Very much so.. Though I've heard that it's a bit relative and when the value is low you're actually making more steem, so.. If that's true, then.. This is a good opportunity for some of us to get more steem before the masses flood in and it becomes even more difficult to obtain. However I think in order for the masses to flood in, they almost gotta figure out some of these issues in regards to people feeling like they're not making anything and other problems more. I wonder how long steemit will remain in beta...? Should be fascinating to see how it all unfolds, one way or the other! ._.

This always happens I feel like when BTC and all the Alts are slow! Everything kind of dies down. I do agree everything is a bit slower right now!
I mean @IFC only has 4 members left so isn't as busy as it once was but exciting to find a winner! I know communities like Steem Monsters are absolutely thriving right now so I guess it's sorta just where we are looking.
I know myself I haven't been posting much lately either. I think Steem will go up again in the next bull run just like all the other ALTS and maybe then time to take a bit of profit out at least.
