Why are we frustrated? // What can we do to avoid it?

Sometimes when we do a specific activity we feel like our tranquility, our concentration and our inner calm are broken, because we get frustrated by not getting the desired result, but how do I avoid getting frustrated in the things I do? Well, today I will show you some tips and advice that could be useful when you're frustrated.

First of all we have to know what Frustration is at a scientific level:

Frustration is a common emotional response to opposition, related to anger and disappointment, which arises from the perception of resistance to the fulfillment of individual will. The greater the obstruction and the will, the greater the likelihood of frustration. The cause of the frustration can be internal or external.

In other words, Frustration is an answer that we human beings have when something does not work out as we wanted and we are disappointed with ourselves.

What can we do to avoid this?

For this I will give you some very practical tips that you can use in any type of occasion or circumstance, this are:

1. Recognize our Limits:

All of us are not born being experts in any specific area, we always start from the most basic and we are advancing little by little, due to the practice and dedication that we have. But normally it happens that we do not recognize to what extent we are capable of doing that activity, we do not recognize the level in which we are and despite that we end up frustrating ourselves. It is for this reason that we must be aware of our abilities and on that basis continue to practice until we achieve what is desired.

2. Rest doing another Activity:

Sometimes it usually happens that we spend more than 3 hours trying to do something specific, but despite the number of attempts to do it we do not achieve it, well that is because our mind is tired of thinking or analyzing so much and therefore we can not find a solution to that problem, but when we stop trying and focus on doing another activity, we see how our mind relaxes and even provides us with an answer to our problems.

3. Avoid being Negative:

If we constantly think that some activity will go wrong or we just will not achieve it, this thought would come true and we would be frustrated. We will attract what we think, therefore, we must be more aware of what we think since this will depend on the result.

4. Relax and do not get carried away by the Emotion:

There is a time when we feel so frustrated that we even get angry and end up taking these emotions to very high levels, so much so that we can get to the point of verbally or physically attacking a person or simply breaking an object. To prevent this from happening, I advise you to breathe 4 times, which is simply to inhale for 4 seconds, keep the oxygen inside the lungs for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds until you run out of air and in that state last 4 seconds more. This is repeated until we are totally calm and relaxed.
