How would you define this... or put a word to it.

Most middle class people, programmed that money is the problem,
tend to throw money at the situation to solve it.

These people believe:

  1. That the lack of money is the problem
  2. Throwing money at it will solve the problem.
  3. That the govern-cement officials will take the money and solve the problem.

Lack of money is not the problem. Throwing money at the problem has made things worse. And govern-cement officials just get fat skimming off the flow of money.

The typical middle class person does not want to put in the effort to help out the poor. It is a lot of work... which usually ends up in a lot of wasted time and resources. Throwing money is a lot easier.

So, what is the word to describe this situation?
