Supposing witch powers are inherited, we start opening questions of what powers do witches have; are they each assigned a kind of magic, or even one ultra-powerful magic spell only they can do? Maybe each witch has an individual power and the others have equally awesome but unrelated powers, like mutants do. Or do they all have exactly the same standard witch powers? Somebody should be doing research on this stuff. I would love to know more.
