Unrepresentative democracy

When we vote for a representative we expect that they will represent the will of the majority of the group. We expect our representative to represent us on all pending proposals placed before the government. The question arises is how can they represent us if they fail to poll their constituency.

This failure by representatives to poll their constituents leads to a situation where real democracy is no longer experienced. Laws, budgets and policies are made unilaterally without the consent of the voters.
Democracy is the bedrock of society. Not experiencing real democracy is not an option.
Direct democracy has been used all over the world to enable members of society to participate in the stream of the decision making process.

A layer of direct democracy over any political system will ensure that the will of the people is measured. The negative consequences of unrepresentative democracy will be alleviated and members of electoral districts at any level will experience real democracy.
