DON’T WRITE YOUR SURNAME BEFORE YOUR FIRST NAME

in writing •  7 years ago

"All over the globe, the standard practice is:
First name
Middle name(s) if any
Surname or Last Name" This is correct for western culture. But expect something different in the east. You can do more research.

According to international/western naming format, you are supposed to mention or write your given names before your surname.

Example:
Stephen Andrew “Steve” Paul
Full Name: Stephen Andrew Paul

Surname: Paul
Last Name: Paul
Family Name: Paul

Given Name(s): Stephen
First Name: Stephen
First Given Name: Stephen

Middle Name(s): Andrew
Second Given Name: Andrew

Popular Name: Steve Paul

Nickname or Calling Name: Steve
