Good morning dear ones! Boy was it stinking hot out yesterday, according to my phone we hit 81°!

We are Winter's Children, such heat kills us. We lay in a puddle of gross on the floor.

So my trio played an adorable game of drip, drip drop. Which is like Duck, Duck, Grey Duck, exceept there's water involved. Haha!

Today we are expecting a high of 69°, thank goodness! And I saw this little cutie on the way to the bus this morning!

Aaand I finally get to start physical therapy today. I've already been in this boot for over a month.

Americans like to use the wait for healthcare in other countries as a reason to hate on their free healthcare.

It took over a month for me to get physical care for an injury that causes me crippling pain. A dentist appointment can take weeks to get.

And mental health? Good luck getting in faster than 6-8 weeks from now.

I've mentioned before my work in healthcare. I worked directly under the VA. One of my clients would have to wait months between visits. He suffered from ALS, and by the time they finally diagnosed him, he was so far along he died a week later.

This is your "superior" healthcare system, United States. Where Veterans languish and die before they can get proper care.

Sorry, the subject just kind of sneaked up on me, I wasn't planning on anything dark for this post, so early in the morning!

So let's break that up with the Church. 💜

Some sweeter news, there was one additional spot left in the Starbase STEM camp Inari is going to next week, so Sparrow jumped on the opportunity! We'd been told it was for kids going into 4th, 5th and 6th, but it was 3rd-5th, so she was eligible!

Little Willow was upset about it, but she'll spend the time at work with me so she won't be lonely at the Boy's and Girl's Club without brother and sister.

The Lupine are in full bloom. Do you have them where you are? One of my favorite flowers. 💜

My children has dual citizenship, Russian and Norwegian. It's quite important, one of the reasons is that they are eligible for free health care in Russia.

Most Norwegians are a bit like ... "say what?", the idea being that the Norwegian health care system "of course" is superior of the Russian health care system, and that nobody in their sane mind would want to visit a Russian hospital.

Our eldest had some problem that required surgery. We tried getting it done in Norway. In January we visited the hospital to get an assessment. We had an appointment at 11:00, at 18:00 we finally got to see the doc. The doc told us nothing we didn't already know ("seems like surgery is needed"), but he could put our son into the waiting list for an operation.

During the summer vacation he went to visit his grand parents in St.Petersburg. They were like "Whats this? Why haven't this problem
been fixed yet? Lets take him to the hospital at once!". They got the choice between paying some small fee to get a same-day operation, or to wait for a full week ... they chose the latter.

We moved to the "far south" that summer, Oslo. In the late autumn, we got a telephone from the hospital back in our old home town, Tromsø. "We have observed that you've moved to Oslo, maybe you want your son moved from the waiting list here in Tromsø to the waiting list in Oslo?"

Hope your work day passes quickly so you can get into your physical therapy appointment & hopefully get some understanding on the issues your having and more importantly healing! So you don't have to be in pain anymore 💖🎵💖

I have never really paid too much attention yo lupins tbh, but this year.....they are popping out at me everywhere i go! They are beautiful flowers! It's so nice of them to pop out this year. 🎆 i hope your kiddos have fun at their special activity! And, that your little one enjoys the change of pace too. Lots of love, Jill 🌿🌻☘

Lupine are kind of escaped convicts. They're usually an invasive species that have escaped from someone's garden.

They shall not be contained! Lol! I like their spirit. 💜

Have a great day dear!

Haha! You too sunshine 🌻
