On Being American, Being Judged, and Being The Best Me That I Can Be - An Introspective Look At Self In Circumstance

Our leaders are how the world views us. That doesn't mean that's who we are. We are not defined by the policies we live under. Keep being the best you that you can be. Inspire others to do the same. We are, as a country, the most diverse nation on this planet and we should embrace that fact. America was built on the backs of ethnicity and, though our history is sordid, I am proud to be an American. We learn, we grow.

Some choices that our leaders make cast us in a negative light. That will happen when you have power. All other nations scrutinize us because the things we do affect this world. Just keep doing you as best as you do you and, with love and luck, the rest of the world will realize we are not that different from them. We make mistakes sometimes. Like choosing a leader who might be the wrong person for the job.

I sit back and let time and history judge those things. I just keep trying to make my little space on this planet as cozy, comforting, and welcoming as I can. That's all any of us can do. Try, smile, and endure.
Bigger. Better. Further. Faster.
We all matter. Everyone. Love.
