Changes to the blog and posting

You may have noticed that I'm not putting complete daily entry posts on my steemit.com/@jocelynlily page anymore. Instead I'm giving you about half of the material and saving the good stuff for my blog page.

That's right, I'm doing my best to drive traffic to my website. I've heard that most people don't do blogs or websites for their erotica pen names. I keep it up because I think it is a good way to stay in touch with readers and other authors. It gives me a good outlit to talk about my life beyond just choking on dicks.

My hope was that people that enjoyed my writing would have somewhere to stay engaged with me in the days I wasn't publishing a new book online.

There is very little traffic to my website, and even fewer to my steemit page.

Funny, how when I stopped commenting and reading other peoples stuff they stopped coming to mine. That is totally fair and expected. I guess it makes sense that people would only want to communicate with someone if they're reciprocating.

It is easy to say that I don't have the time to do it anymore. What time I had scheduled for reading around Steemit has faded into writing time. I've found it is better to do my daily writing first, then my blog post, then my poem, then my other daily chores (think email list updates, covers, keyword search, etc). Plus i have work and personal relationships with my boyfriend and family to worry about.

I want to read and vote on your stuff, really I do!

So I'm doing my best to be a megaphone of smut to the world and put out a lot of good material so that you, dear reader, can enjoy the stuff I'm producing so much you'll give me your hard earned money.

So, lately I've been struggling with writing and finding the motivation for it that I've had in the past. I realized when I have free days to do with what I want I'm packed so full of things to do that I don't have the will to write like I normally do. When I'm constrained by time and work and working out then I find that I don't have enough time to cram all the writing I want into it. How strange is that? that our work expands to fill the allotted hours that we have assigned to it.

I'm excited about writing Jimmy Howard punishing Emily and Gina in another round of "Punishing the Neighbor brat's backdoor" This is the sequel with "again" attached to it.

Have you seen /r/eroticauthors on reddit? It is pretty good, not great, but okay source for information about writing smut.

There was a post about writing a ROMANCE novel. Do that and you'll make the dollars. I've tried doing this a few times but it always get hammered into the erotica space. I'm wondering if I'm labled as an erotic author on amazon so now everything I write is automatically put there. I'm going to try and do a tame book with all the naughty bits for sale exclusively on my website or wide or something. I don't know. We'll see if it gets auto placed in erotica.

Romance is where the dollars are and apparently it can be filled with smut and sex scenes that push the limit as long as love and relationship are the most important part. That requires a lot of boring writing on my part though. Lame. I want to get to the naughty bits!

Learned how to use a masking layer in GIMP today so I can edit my cover pictures a little better instead of only using the stock versions that I find on depositphotos. This way I can manipulate my covers a little better.
