After the excitement and party I made as I watched my payouts grow monstrously the day after HF 19 (I even wrote a post about it ), I finally fell into the reality: HF 19 made us more "poor" in rewards and votes in the posts. On the other hand, the number of followers grew frighteningly. Before HF 19 I had about 500 followers, today I have almost 800.
Reflecting first on rewards and analyzing my blog, I see that the rewards have dropped a lot. Posts that before HF 19 would easily cost 50, 100 SBD, today are no more than 20 SBD. One of the reasons for this is the "dump" in the price of Steem / SBD in the market and the problem caused by Poloniex in blocking the deposits and withdrawals of SBD by users which caused the market to be cautious in doing exchanges. I looked at the chart of the SBD today and the dump is being deep, the price already borders the 0.0005 BTC...
About votes and analyzing the number of followers, we see bloggers today with 1,000 followers and 30 votes in a post ... this is a very strange, surreal and I come to ask myself: "Where are these 1,000 followers who do not even comment on my post?"
Reflecting on followers I am very happy to see my number of followers grow every day, but with that growth it would be perfect if there were more interaction in the posts with first comments and second (of course) votes. People simply push the FOLLOW button, but they don't follow and don't say anything.
My conclusion and thought after the HF 19 are a little disappointing. The interaction is not happening. With more power in our votes(power in our hands) the practice of self - vote will end more with this interaction. The trending page is something I don't comment on, but it's strange to see 4 posts from the same user on the trending page every day. There are no bloggers here with quality content similar to this user and deserves this highlight?
These and other thoughts and reflections I have about the community and I hope that my constructive criticism can improve our coexistence here at the Steem Blockchain.
I was thinking about going on steemit as a creator as well but first I am just observing this whole thingy :) I find it very confusing-still-I have very diversified interests but I cannot see myself being online all day and searching constantly for some post that might be exciting for me to look at...If I would start posting here it be on many subjects and it would be too many to even start my own thing..maybe I dont have the know how yet and it just seems so confusing to me, I dont know but the main group I follow is homesteading, and there it is also common now to upvote each other...that helps them but it doesnt help me-I only get ahead here if my comments to posts are being upvoted too so for all the people who dont feature their own posts this is getting even more frustrating, if they thought there would be a little bit of money in it for them-I simply dont have the time to watch all the peoples posts that I am following-sure I like some a lot because of their real good content but-cant do it every day...I commented on a few posts of you and I follow as well but-sorry cant do it every day...and you are absolutely right-real interaction isnt happening....most people are here to make money, not for interaction-sadly truth-best wishes from Germany :)
Thanks-same to you :) I would love to see some shots of the ocean, the beach, some fishermen bringing in their catch...maybe you could make that happen? :) just for us who dont live near the ocean-I mean not the picture we see in a travel magazine lol...bye for now
The best explanation I've seen about the impact of HF19 is this one by @personz: Here's Why Your Potential Payouts Are Going Down. After HF18, the reward pool was empty and had to refill over more than a month's time. With HF19, there was a sudden drain of the pool and now it has to restabilize at some unknown level. Then things should stabilize.
And with the upvotes, I think there are 2 things going on. One, with all the new people and all the resteeming, my own feed has become unworkable. I don't see all the people that I have followed regularly for months. Now I am using a handwritten list -- how untechnological is that!
The other is that some of us, at least, have struggled to have an effective voting strategy. @merej99 wrote a good post about that recently. Once we get our percentages figured out and voting power built up again, I think we will see a lot more votes. And even those smaller votes will be worth more than they were before HF19.
Verdade... Sempre tem as mesmas pessoas no trending page, todo bem mas eu acho isso um pouco chato kkkk. Amei o seu post @jsantana.
