ANCILLARY

The sirens blared incessantly as thousands of people migrated toward the staged buses to take them to safety.

Jonas stood watch and reminded people to stay calm and walk in an orderly fashion to catch the mass transit out. There weren't enough seats for everyone but in times like this, people crammed in like sardines and remained thankful about it.

The truth is, the meteor was going to be an Earth killer. This ancillary action was only to keep the peace.

It was best to let them die with hope than call martial law and stir up panic.
