The Light - Poetry

It shone brightly,
It did,
Just like yesterday,
Or the day before.

Only that on the end of the dawn,
It was whisked away,
To the corner,
Across the seven seas.

Could it so sure,
Of the sight through the panes,
Of glasses and stones,
Did see so.

For in a dream,
In the beginning,
A bit unsure towards the middle,
Curves across to the end.

The light blew to death,
In the wind that came sudden,
A dim gloomy day,
And days to be,
Cast shadows of sadness and despair,
No direction,
No sense of purpose,
It was all the same now,
for all of the time to come.
