My best friend called at 1 a.m. while I was reading something
Me : ‘Hello’
She : ‘Did I disturb?’
Me : Out of the blue
‘Life is nothing without getting disturbed by the right people’
She : numb taken aback trying to digest that
(Awkward Silence for a moment)
Me : breaks the ice ‘Are you there ?’
(& we talked for the next half an hour with her voice resonating more than usual)
Trust me ! Calling a girl hot or giving cheap compliments couldn’t have been as smooth as that line which I dropped outta nowhere.
