This is one of the major problems of this century..students don't read anymore..they get easily distracted by the internet, money,peer group etc..
Another issue is time, they don't value time anymore so tend to misplace priorities for irrelevant matters..For instance, when a student is supposed to be reading for his exams, he is out there chasing money.. If I may ask, didn't the Bible say "there is time for everything under the sun"..So being pragmatic is knowing what to do at a particular time..thanks for sharing this post @mrglowz
