Did you know that I also write fiction?

But I suck at it...

OK, I am not that bad. I can write a cool arc and make you scared or excited or whatever... but something is missing.

That "OOMPH" factor. My fiction doesn't have a punch. And that's understandable honestly.

See, for the most part, I've been writing copy and other non-fiction stuff. That's where the money is at. Yeah, I am greedy. The Bohemian lifestyle ain't my thing.

That said, I've written a couple of short stories and some flash ones.

Writing my first (english) short story

It all started in March 2016. It took me 2 months. It's a story about a girl waiting for her date while her aunt is batshit crazy. Some weird stuff happens and then a plot twist...

Anyway, not gonna reveal much. The story is about 10k words and it's slightly below average.

BUT! It was #2 in its subcategory and #7 short story for a week straight.

And that SUCKS! Because there were WAY more talented writers who ranked below me upon launch but knowing a couple of marketing tricks...

Most people have no idea how to publish their book. I did that part right. Hired a professional to create my cover and used my copy chops to outperform the competition.

(Let's say Amazon works like a search engine and your "page" is your product landing page)

I really enjoyed writing it, even though I've made <$100 for 30 hours of work.

So I immediately started writing another one!

The rest of my "books"

My second book is a few thousand words from being finished. Life got in the way.

I still have it on my PC. Alongside 3-4 half-finished drafts.

Yeah, I became one of "those" guys. I plan to start writing more in 2019. It helps me keep the creative fire going.

I do have one surprise though. I wrote a flash story (1000 words) months ago and I am considering posting it here if you guys are interested.

P.S- Hey! Don't forget I am writing this other "thing". Remember? That super cool "thing" I promised to publish in order to have a good excuse for writing on Steemit for free? LOL.

PSS- What a boring post... don't upvote. It's garbage.
