A legend as old as the Great Forest itself, the true nature of Greenwarden Eternal is a mystery to all, its truth long lost.
Made of ancient living wood, the Greenwarden Eternal is a towering figure that resembles a sentinel, possibly of elven lineage. Armed and armored with what resembles ancient ceremonial Giwari armor, he still keeps a watchful eye over the edge of the forest.
According to the stories, songs, and traditions of the Giwari Elves, the Greenwarden Eternal was a wise and powerful druid-warrior. Sworn to protect the spirits of the forest, he stood against the hordes of a long-forgotten warchief - savages who wanted the bounties of nature for themselves.
Explanations of why he grew to such a gigantic size, or why he became living wood are, of course, the stuff of myth, and largely open to interpretation.
The only thing certain about the Greenwarden Eternal is that he has inspired whole generations of sentinels, druids, and forest protectors - the aptly named Greenwardens.
Successors to his cause and deep connection with nature, it is them who now keep intruders away from the verdant canopies and ancient clearings.
