Shipwreck Writing Challenge - Round 2 Results & Statistics

in writing •  7 years ago

Hello everyone,

For a second week in a row, I had a delightful time preparing a table containing with the scores for Round 2. A few curious stats are also included.

Round 2 Scores

Here is the ranking for Round 2 and the total score each one of you have collected.

Some of the guys didn't manage to submit stories for the second Round. They are still eligible to submit a story for Round 3. If you discover any kind of an error in this table, get back to me in the comments or on Discord.

Round 2 Stats

Here are few curious stats I managed to compile as an addition. They are not related with the score, but give a nice overview on what the individual post's number of votes and current payout.

Submissions by number of votes

@morodiene is leading here and by the time I was counting there were 312 upvotes for all the 14 entries submitted.

Submissions by current payout

@jadegreene is dominating the table and with current payout of 142.88 is responsible for more than the half of the payout generated by all participants.

Total amount of current payout

102.73

Advice

I'll finish this post with some advice on how to improve your score and how to increase your payout. Some of you may have put a lot of efforts and the story still didn't get the reward it deserves (we know it happens here).

How to improve your score for Round 2?

Use the queue. In a nutshell, it's s an editing service offered for free on @thewritersblock. Read more on how to join The Writer's Block at the end of the post.

How to increase your current payout?

Submit your post for @sndbox-alpha's service.

It's applicable only for participants with current payout less than $3. The post should be not older than 6.5 days. A lot of the submissions in Round 2 are still younger than 6.5, so you could take an advantage.

@sndbox-alpha is currently accepting any Art & Music posts and all you need to do is submit your posts as a comment under their last post.

Woohoo, keep it up @morodiene and everyone else. :) Who will win no one knows, but these charts are interesting to see the engagement.

This is what turns a contest into a real competition which I really enjoy. It's not related to writing, but this is how Formula 1 fans are organizing their contests on Steemit :D Btw, I'm a huge fan of Ayrton Senna.

Once again, a great summary post. I love the stats here! Round 3 deadline coming up soon!

It's an old tradition of mine to support the guy who's taking the third place and he still has a chance for the first place. Show them who's the best Shipwreck writer @negativer! As I see @nobyeni is very, very close as well.

Yes, that round 2 was very hard on me. But I will return!

Of course you will! Just stay focused and calm. Remove any distractions that can take away your inspiration.

Splendid and objective work. Generous in its detail and explanations and very timely in its recommendations.

In Latin America, there is a special devotion for a native rock band from Argentina called "Soda Stereo" that, with a song called "Of light music" (De música ligera), delighted their fans when in their last live concert their singer Gustavo Cerati shouted, at the end , "Total Thanks." In the same way, I close this answer. Total Thanks, @steemfluencer.

And, congratulations to all the participants and in particular to those who lead the challenge.

Ah, I'm happy to see you so excited @mjcarvajalp! :) I think it all originates from my nature to compete. I love competing... which in some cases could be a huge disadvantage, but anyway :)

I'm listening to De musica ligera en vivo!

I hope you enjoyed it. That performance is an epical moment in latin rock history.

Trying to (patiently) wait for the results... 😰😰
