Runes are primarily the sacred alphabet of northern and central Europe. To understand the specifics of runes, it must be remembered that this alphabet was created and used by a certain ethnos, which had its own history, worldview, mythology and conditions of existence. The world outlook and worldview of the peoples who created this alphabet was encrypted in runes and has its own natural reflection in them. This understanding of the nature of the runes is impossible without studying the history and mythology of Scandinavia.

It must also be said that the rune energy is more male in its nature. As the texts confirm, during the period on active development of runes practices, women had their own magical practice - seiðr. Runes - this is essentially an ax (combat or lumberjack). Naturally, this is a more masculine tool. Of course, there are women who are more successful in working with runes than men, but this is more an exception than the rule, and these women have a special energy.

It is because of this most expressed male energy, runes are very recommended to men: they gradually "pumped up" and harmonize their owner in a very masculine way. The same example with an ax: even the most untrained man, who was sent to cut down the forest, quickly pumps up his muscles, and along with it his attractiveness, and neither the dirt nor the smell of the sweat of this manhood will spoil it. What can not be said about a woman.

Does this mean that women can not work with runes? - by no means. Women work fine with runes - they only learn this work in a specifically feminine way, using, rather than drowning out their natural data to understand and direct the energy of the runes.
