This movie looks a lot like Yo Robot, it has almost the same plot but only that a character named Dick as I understand, who discovers that he is a robot and that is why he wants to be locked up, given that he understood that it is about robots They are made to kill (this reminds me of your novel) but Dick is the only conscious robot who knows that he should not kill humans ... sorry if he misunderstood the movie.
