No Mercy

Hey there, I hope you don't mind the deviation from my usual content, but I'm a huge fan of wrestling and I thought I would share my predictions for tonight's WWE PPV, No Mercy.

First up we have the kick off match, Boring, sorry I mean Baron Corbin vs. Jack Swagger. While I would prefer to see Swagger win and get the push he deserves I have a nagging feeling the push Corbin has been on since debuting is far from over. But then again, would the WWE really have brought Swagger over from RAW to SmackDown just to job him out? Probably, but I'm going to say Swagger wins tonight. Why? He is an experienced guy who can equal the Lone Wolf in size and speed, the perfect guy to beat Baron Corbin to start a real feud. Corbin's first real feud in my opinion. Winner? Jack Swagger.

Secondly, we have Nikki Bella against Carmella. Ever since Nikki Bella returned (as a heel) and did an off screen double switch with Carmella for no reason whatsoever, Carmella has bested her every time, which as it should be. However Nikki Bella is married to big John, John "I bury people for a living" Cena, so I don't see Carmella getting much of a push in a one on one match. Winner? Nikki Bella, unfortunately.

Women's championship, Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss, unfortunately for me the first first contender to the belt Becky Lynch won is Alexa Bliss. Why is this unfortunate? I wanted to see Alexa Bliss be the one to take the championship from Becky, but it is far too early for the first female draft pick, and the first female SmakDown champion to lose her belt. Winner? Becky Lynch.

Tag team title match, Heath Slater and Rhyno, (beauty and the man beast,) vs. The Usos. With the Usos having gone full heel they seem to be on a path destined for mediocrity, as they were before. But Heath Slater is at the top of his game, finally being allowed to shine, and with Rhyno having is back, they are a force to be reckoned with. I have just enough faith in the WWE to believe Heath and Rhyno win clean to retain their championships. Why do I specify clean? Because other people have speculated American Alpha may interfere in the match. But I believe if they do, it will actually cause The Usos to win. So, winners? Heath and Rhyno. Extra? No outside interference.

Okay, now for the match I am most excited for, the A-lister himself, The Miz, still on his never ending Intercontinental Championship World Tour, is set for a third match against The Showoff, Dolph Ziggler (who I personally and with affection, call Ziggles.) Not only is this the third match between them, but it could be the last of Zigglers career, after losing to Ambrose during his bid for the World Title, Ziggler inserted himself in the Intercontinental Title scene, and the first match was amazing, until it was tainted in the last few seconds when Maryse used pepper spray to debilitate Ziggles and allow The Miz to retain. The second match again stole the show, only to have Maryse kicked from ringside as she once again attempted to cheat to save her husbands title, but The Miz, being as crafty as ever, was able to pick up the spray himself and once again cheated to defeat Ziggles. In order to get one last shot at the title Ziggles had to put something up, so he put up his career. Now, in a title vs. career match the stakes couldn't be higher. My prediction? Dolph Ziggler wins the title despite The Miz's best attempts at playing dirty, will there be spray again? Maybe. Will Ziggles wear goggles? Who knows. But I can't see the WWE allowing Ziggler, who always steals the show, to leave the company. The Showoff must win.

Next up? Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton. Honestly I don't care anymore. WWE has ruined Bray Wyatt by once again breaking up the family, and by using him wrong in ever way possible. Randy Orton just came of a losing angle against the worst wrestler in the business, Brock Lesnar. Who wins? More like who cares? I suppose I have to give the edge to Orton because he is after all, Randy Orton. Winner? Bray Wyatt. Cause fuck "the edge," I'm going with my heart, not my brain.

Lastly, the WWE World Title, John Cena vs. Ambrose vs. the current champion AJ Styles. I don't want Cena to win, nor can I see him winning his 16th reign on such a small PPV, could it happen? Sure. But I don't want it to. As for Styles, I don't think he should be champion. Why? He is better in non-title feuds where he can be ridiculous and have fun. The person who deserves the championship is Dean Ambrose, the Lunatic Fringe. Will he get it back? No. Winner? AJ Styles. How? Cena and Ambrose weaken each other and Styles cheats to beat whichever happens to be in the ring.

Do you have different predictions? Let me know what they are, and any reasons you have for them.
And I hope you enjoy, No Mercy (unless your enjoying it means my favorite guys lose, then I hope you do not enjoy yourself. :P )

It's really weird that the match I'm most looking forward to is an IC title match between Ziggler and the Miz, both who the company has done next to nothing with until just recently, fighting for a belt that's meant next to nothing until just recently.

Huge props to Miz for making the nearly dead IC title great again.

I see this being Ziggy's last match. Sad, since I've never been the biggest fan, but this Miz program has finally given him something of a personality, other than "jobber who sells a lot".
