Kurt Angle worked with Sting in TNA and they were at the time the top names in the company. The Olympian recently spoke about the Icon on the "Kurt Angle show" and noted above all else that he was a wrestler not at all given to politicking:
"Sting did his own thing. He wasn't interested in being bothered when he was at home. I think he always found out what I was doing when I got to the building. So I'm not surprised Sting didn't know he was going to be involved in that pay-per-view fight. But, you know, that's just the way Sting is."
"Sting is not political in any way. He's not going to push to be the champion. He's a good guy, and he's very fair in wanting to be a part of the company. He's not asking to be 'The Guy' of the company, as he just wants to contribute. That's what I like about Sting. There's no politicking in him. He has a great attitude, and he always has."
"I've never been told that Sting did anything political or tried to put himself above others. I've always been told that he kept his mouth shut and did what he was told, and that's what I like about Sting."
