Well it's time to get down to making those treats we all leave out for the JOLLY OLD ELF , when he makes his rounds on christmas eve . I thought i would share my recipe for OLD ST NICK FUDGE , it is what we leave out every year for Mr Kringle and it is always gone when we come down in the morning .
INGREDIENTS
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Red peppermint candies, crushed, for topping
Cooking spray, for spraying foil
Getting started
Line an 8-by-8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil, and spray the foil with cooking spray.
Combine In a medium saucepan over low heat, the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk and stir until melted and smooth. Pour into foil lined baking pan and spread to even out the surface. Sprinkle on the crushed candies. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Lift the foil out of the pan and peel off the fudge. Cut into small squares.
Place on a small cookie plate, and leave next to a nice cup of hot coco sprinkled with whipped cream and crushed peppermint flakes .
I will be making this soon as my son loves fudge. Do you employ fudge packers for putting the fudge into bags or boxes for sale? I know a professional packer of fudge that is seeking employment so I will let him know of your opportunities. Thanks for the great recipe.
