As we all know, Andrew Yang is an outspoken defender of crypto and Blockchain. In other words, he supports voting platforms based on the block chain. In fact, in several interviews he has praised Blockchain as "one of the key technologies". He has said in some conversations that Blockchain must be part of the future of the US, since crypto currencies and digital assets already make up a large part of the world's economic activity. Although Yang is reportedly not the owner of crypto coins, he has confirmed that he has invested in at least one vehicle that has cryptic properties.
The interesting thing about all this is that in August, the DailyBitcoin reported that Yang wants to use Blockchain in the elections. He has said this is a good way to make elections fraud-proof. On his campaign website, Andrew Yang says he believes that U.S. citizens should have the option of voting on a mobile device, with blockchain technology used for verification purposes. He has also stated that in terms of security risks, most voting machines are as vulnerable to hackers as modern technology. He has also pointed out that it is absurd for queues to be held at polling stations even in 2020. Similarly, he believes that this form of voting would not only lighten the process and make it more transparent, but that in this way there would be more voter participation.
Another of Yang's plans is to regulate the cryptomoney industry, as he believes that the levels of fraud that cryptomedas experience are due to the lack of adequate regulations. Yang promises to promote legislation on the space of the cryptoactive market by defining what a token is, when a token is a value, and clarifying the tax implications of owning, selling and trading digital assets, among others. He has been emphatic in saying: "It is shameful to see the ignorance that some members of Congress show when they talk about technology, and anyone who has seen Congress question Mark Zuckerberg is very aware of that. Without a basic level of understanding, it is unreasonable to expect adequate regulation of major technology companies, or the drafting of legislation to address the critical technological problems we will continue to face in the areas of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Yang's campaign has accepted bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and other donations in crypto coins since July 2018. You have to campaign here in Steem for possible donations in the future. This would surely bring more publicity for our cryptomoney.
