Ha! It’s true, the little alarm on my wrist went off at 7:30, and I’m positive I didn’t get out of bed until at least 8:15. today I woke up feeling pretty damn sore, my low back, inner thighs and shoulders, if we’re being precise. It’s funny because I felt pretty great the past 3 days, I’m wondering if this soreness is going to come in cycles over the 30 day challenge.
I’m no muscle-oologist, or musculo-physicist or professor of musculaturative sciences, so we’re just going to have to wait and see and try to listen to the ol bod while we practice.
Today’s class was taught by Tracy, with the theme of Self Love, the poses and transitions were a bit challenging, especially in a small space but the length of 32 minutes was perfect. Just as I was starting to really drag and my form was becoming sloppy from fatigue, things started to wind down into some stretches down on the mat.
It was nice, but I’m BEAT!

I was able to allow myself to take a decent shavasana meditation today, possibly because I knew the class was only 30-ish minutes long and I didn’t feel I was overstaying my welcome too much.
Last night we got another dumping of snow and so things on site have been pretty quiet this morning.
As I laid on the ground, I just enjoyed not thinking for awhile, the way you used to when you were a kid and you’d just lay on your back on the grass and look at the clouds. My eyes were closed with a scarf over my eyes, but I saw this swirling emerald green through my eyelids. It felt like watching a lava lamp. Green everywhere!! I spent a few short minutes just appreciating it and not trying to tie it to anything…
