How to Start Gaming Channel in You-tube As A Complete Beginner

Making video game-related material on YouTube has to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of the platform, but getting discovered may not be.
It won't be as simple as pressing record on your next Minecraft building session or destroying everyone in Fortnite. So the goal of this article is to assist you in being recognised on YouTube while playing games in 2022.

1 YouTube Gaming Channels: Find YOUR Niche
Let's start with the forms of game content that will be discovered in 2020. To figure it out, we must first ask ourselves, "What is YouTube?" YouTube is, at its core, a search engine. That may sound self-evident, but have you ever created a video named Bob plays Minecraft episode 12? That's what I'm referring to. Nobody is going to look up Bob plays Minecraft episode 12, therefore the next question is, what are we doing with search engines?

And the solution is to ask questions. Whenever we have a question, we type it into YouTube and try to find a video that will answer it.

2 Come up with YouTube gaming content ideas
Check out VidIQ's 'Most Viewed' function if you're having trouble coming up with topics to discuss around your game. Search for the game you're playing to see what other people are viewing in real time. What are the most popular videos right now?

This will not only help you figure out what your competitors are up to, but it will also help you figure out what questions people may have about your game, which gets me to the second point we need to discuss: limiting your channel to just one game.

3 Concentrate solely on one video game
The most beneficial thing you can do for your channel is to establish yourself as an expert on the game you're playing. If you enjoy playing Call of Duty, you should make Call of Duty videos so that YouTube recognises you as a Call of Duty expert. The more videos you make for a single game, the more data YouTube has to work with when deciding which videos to recommend to those who search for Call of Duty.

That's a big ask for a lot of gaming channels. Hey, there's just one game per channel. I can understand if you don't want to start a new channel every time you play a new game.

4 Pay Attention to Your Competitors
If you're playing a popular game and are having problems coming up with new ideas, try using vidIQ's Competitor's Tool.

Search for specific channels to see how others are covering the games you're covering. You'll undoubtedly gain some useful insights on what you should do next based on how your competitors' films perform.
5 Never,
The frequency of uploads is the next issue we must address. It's tempting, especially in gaming, to record hours and hours of information and split it up into multiple videos so you have something to watch every day, and I understand that urge. Don't do it, though.

Because you've already decided to make tutorials and reviews, those videos will take time, and I strongly advise you to spend that time meticulously constructing each one.

Make sure your YouTube custom thumbnail is on point, and that your titles, tags, and description are all well-researched. Put up the effort because it will pay off.

Every time you upload a new video, I look forward to seeing it.

6 Participate in the Gaming Community Actively
So, I instructed you to limit yourself to one game. Do lessons, reviews, and try not to publish 'Let's Plays' every day, but how do we extend and uncover new sorts of content to not just keep our audience involved, but also to keep ourselves engaged with the game?

And that's where the game's community comes in. When it comes to covering games on YouTube, aim to become immersed in the community. It's fantastic if the game has a modding community. You could make a weekly video that just displays different mods. If you're playing a building game like Minecraft, look for servers with excellent structures. Take people on a tour of them and show them stuff they've never seen before.

When you start exploring different communities within a game, you'll notice that individuals are building challenges and playing the game in ways that no one could have predicted. Try to complete one of those tasks on your channel, or even better, come up with a new way to play your game that no one else has thought of and make the challenge for someone else to do.

Providing value is the simplest method to expand any YouTube channel. Although it may be tempting to film four hours of gameplay and split it into eight 30-minute movies, this will not get you noticed.

Become an expert in your game and respond to the questions that others have about it.
