This is a great idea! I remember when I was in grade 8, trying to upload 15 second AVI videos to the internet. I was also using Flash3 at the time for basic animations, but little did I know it would be Shockwave Flash that turned into the YouTube player we all know and use. A decentralised video service would be a fantastic next step, especially when it comes to combating censorship. We can all add videos to our Steemit posts but if the video is removed the link just becomes broken (as I have seen in some old posts already). The main problem I forsee with this is how over 300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, and Google has (beyond) massive servers. Can a decentralised network compete?
