One of the reasons why we need a decentralized video platform...

Thanks for pointing out our original, @personz.

Ah so, that's why. Well that you for taking it, wish I was there 😊

It was our pleasure! Lots of fun, lots of information and amazing people/minds. We came as EOS ambassadors and was trying to break things to primarily the Steem(it) and BitShares communities as fast as we possibly could.

All of Dan's projects are going hard for the greater good of humanity and well, not to sound stupid, but it's a pretty damn beautiful thing. Humbled to be a part of them on any level. Glad you enjoyed it :-).

I wish I could be an EOS ambassador, on top of my being a steemit and crypto ambassador! I wish i could explain why EOS is important to people but people dont even know what Bitcoin is! Its like having to explain what the internet is before even explaining wwhat a smartphone is!

I should not waste my time with the public i should stick to local computer meetups gaming meetusp oh yeah i REALLY should reach out to local gamers who have lan parties etc, nowehere else would I find a group of young kids with potentially thousands of dollars a day worth of HASH power! I should go to all the schools in my area and convince principles to install minergate on every computer lab and then hand out the crypto we mine to all the students for college funds!

I feel like we will only ever convince a small minority of smart people and also pople who just have good intuition! I have met MANY people into bitcooin who arent traditionally "smart" or "intelligent" but theyve made a lot just buying altcoins and getting in while it was cheap! Its so cool to see people who never knew a thing about computers and the internet now getting into it all because of the chance to make millions of dollars froom nothing!

I have so many thoughts its so hard to get them all out! I should just start making youtube videos

Thank you

I noticed steemq.com and submitted a survey. Is that you?

THIS IS SO FUCKING IMPORTANT why WHy isnt this over 1 million views?

because most people are just not that smart! And ALSo even the smart ones dont trust ANy new ICO or blockchain based service, even if its something as ground breaking and revolutionary as EOS!

I see it, many of us see it! but Even i wouldnt have known why this was important untill recently!

God we will be a small preisthood like in the matrix, a few programmers who can control reality through manipulation of code only they know how to work, we are approaching that reality! and as long as you know how to modify and edit this reality youll be a reality hacker or Modder, and

WOAH theres more women on steemit than any other blockchain!?!?! wow someone go tell the Global Gender Equity Fund with ticker symbol: SHE !

Wow, this is mindblowing...!

WOW... Mr. Dan is a genius.

This is why we need SteemQ! When will we finally get it? It's the most anticipated project on the platform...at least for me.

While I hate YouTube, its copyright infringement protection features are pretty helpful sometimes. For example, in this case. And sadly, this isn't the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth time I've had to use it. The video in the OP was from someone who literally took the time to rip mine and @robrigo 's video from youtube, reupload it on their channel, and then spread it around ultimately trying to steal our street-cred. That isn't cool, that's plagiarism. I don't/didn't like that as I'm sure no one else would either. No credit was given, no link to the original, nothing. It was "hey guys, check out my video (that really isn't my video)!"

We saw this happening after we traveled across the country, captured everything we could about EOS as it happened in order to bring the info to the community, then some guy comes along and tries to steal your legwork. So I said to myself "fuck that." And I filed a legitimate claim. It worked out.

reupload it on their channel, and then spread it around ultimately trying to steal our street-cred.

What Facebook users have done for years now and gotten away with.

Except on facebook you arent personally capitalizing on it, you're helping a multi- billion dollar corporation capitalize on it, and you.

Some uploaders do get revenue from it though. I've made a post about it a long time ago, but basically. They find a video on youtube - re-upload it to facebook with small edits, it goes viral and burns and crashes soon after. The "stealer" makes some comission while facebook makes the most, then if the original uploader notices it and reports it its already too late. No penalty for the person who stole it cause facebook has their own video player so they gain a lot from it, while the original content creator gets almost nothing and the attention to the video is lost shortly after. Has happened many times and facebook just doesn't care.

Yeah, it's pretty lame :-/. Too bad for them their current business model is already crumbling!!!

me too I cant wait!

me three!!!

Me four!!

ME FIVE!

me six.

m7 ^^

Me 8
No nestig constraints!

who da fuuuuuuqq be Matt Anderson...? lol

It's my buddy @matt-a. I recorded the video linked above, Matt uploaded it, and someone re-uploaded the same exact thing to youtube that we did. They were profiting off it here on Steem even though we had the post up first. That seemed pretty lame to us, so we filed a claim. Sorry for the mixup @furion! I'm not a big fan of copyright, but also not a big fan of plagiarism either when we took the time to record Dan and upload the video in the first place. It's a slippery slope.

Anyways, here's the original vid:

That's me.

What is the reason you had the video taken down for?

Why wouldn't I report a video that was stolen from me? Here was a previous reply I made about it:

did the same person that ripped and reuploaded from YouTube then post it on their Steemit account trying to take credit for it?

if so, what is their account name so I can downvote the post?

They probably just wanted that youtube money!

fair enough.

Wow, this is a call and a sign @furion :)
I hope all is good with you. Haven't talked to you in forever!

lbry will be ready "soon".

lbry is pretty much that. It will be ready "soon". The beta is available to try now.

i really hope the steemit video thing gets up and running soon??? will be a total game changer

The video is down for copyright claim by Matt Anderson. If you have another link for it, please share through comment

Here's the link to our original upload.

Thanks for sharing @matt-a

You're welcome, glad to help.

Have you got a link to information about that copyright claim?

Derp!

As a youtube content creator that has had videos demonitized for stupid reasons and our ad revenues slashed, I totally agree. Youtube only wants snowflake pop culture content programming on its site. All others can go away. Gladly. Youtube is NO LONGER ABOUT YOU. It's become THEMTUBE.

First thing we need to make decentralized video possible is decentralized storage b/c there's no way a blockchain can handle video. Too inefficient for anything but text.

Siacoin. start running your own Sia node. Start hosting 50GB of decentralized storage and contribute to the need you just identified.

What about Storj? I installed that last night, but haven't accomplished anything yet. I didn't know about Sia, as kiwi-simon mentioned. I'll check that out today.

I also posted a cliffs notes version of the presentation with the main slides if you are interested in reading.

That would be cool for you to post. I could add that to the description in the video that we uploaded and of course credit you.

Congratulations @furion!

I agree, I wonder who is making one of those... you know anyone @furion? ;)

Totally agree with you! We definitely need a decentralized video platform! Iám also tired of youtube vimeo etc

Pretty cool stuff being worked on here.

This is funny.

what????

Oh wow.. this is going to be big!!! When this gets out and continues to get public interest. It should not only help his EOS development it will help Bitshares and Steemit get recognized as well. Mark my words.... :)

I think steemit have some bug, because before I upvote this post, his value was about $27, after upvote goes to $129! And I'm not a walle! It's the second time this happen! Is this normal?

Refresh page before you upvote :-)

Youtube is digging their own grave, the big thing for me is when material is well within the fair use of copyright (parody etc) they still let the owner block it, demonetize whatever...

I understand people want to protect their intelectual property but YouTube has gone WAY WAY WAY too far in favor of the copyright holders in my opinion.

And there is all the biased censorship garbage... wont even get into that.

I can't wait for steemq, I will never post to youtube again.

When we will see SteemQ? Any news?

Man im so with you on that shit, Steem is for the people!

$700 for 1 line and a picture? Ok people, ok...

Isn't that what Library Credits (#LBC) is all about?

BRO BRO u made $720 off one post with 13 words!

thats $55 PER WORD dude youre a steemit super star @furion and I agree 100 percent we need bitchute to hurry up! Youtube is too powerful! we should all at least switch to Vimeo like you said! and we should all be using bitchute and bitorrent for video hosting! Soon we will be able to upload a video right to bit torrent as easily as a youtube upload, and this will be HUGE1 HUGE for us!

video is KING and we NEED to all be using bit torret as a way to avoid youtube and their censorship

BitChute? Works pretty well!
