New Beginnings are not Always bad...Letter from a former Youtuber

in youtube •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey guys!

I just want to introduce myself to this promising community. I have mixed feeling right now but nothing bad. I feel quite disappointed on how Youtube has treated us content creators. They have always preached that their platform was for "US" to express ourselves. Sadly that is not the case. In order to survive on youtube you cannot be yourself but you have to be something that you are not or something that is against your moral compass in order to get views. In my opinion, Youtube has become a cesspool where if your not doing dangerous stupid stuff like Jake Paul and his clan of disobedient jackasses...you cant get anywhere. There is no home for people that just want to be themselves anymore. Also with their new policies, there are making it impossible for anyone...mainly the small creators. Don't get me wrong, I was doing ok but you could not even breath without being demonized and i didn't want to become a "Jake Paul" in order to get views.

Enough about the bad news...now for some good!

I am glad I found out about this platform... I love the concept and that we cannot be censored for nonsense. Best of all we can all be ourselves. I think overtime this can be Youtube 2.0

Blessing and Good Luck To you All!
