In my opinion, YouTube should never have been used to fund a full time income. Yet people have been sucked into the platform by the earnings and the viewers (even myself viewing a lot still).
I highly recommend visiting other video streaming sites. LBRY is my favourite. Others are Bitchute, Rokfin. Rokfin tends to be either politics or sport, and a heavy emphasis on subscriptions.
I like the structure of LBRY a lot. They keep costs down by NOT hosting videos. Videos are hosted by p2p nodes (like bittorrent). Videos play surprisingly well and they can be downloaded to play avoid buffering. You can also mirror YT & LBRY content (so they make it easy as possible to migrate or add LBRY to your YT strategy. LBRY does not directly monetise content but uses can tip content (or tip anyone) using the LBC crypto token (avail to buy on Bittrex LBC/BTC).
