but they are still MORE EFFICIENT than free market in many categories such as health care, tax audit and collection, education, childcare, etc. This is proven by the cost and result of public options vs private.
yah think?

I envision a functional society as the free market....it works every time it's been tried.
Socialism has FAILED every time IT has been tried.

I’m not advocating straight up socialism, I’m advocating a stronger safety net for the US.

You name Venezuela as a failure but here are some successes; France, Germany, UK, Italy, Netherlands, etc all have strong social safety nets, and are all fine.

Since you name a straight up Socialist nation as a failure please name a completely free market society that has succeeded; I bet you can’t. I’m just going to leave this here for you...

Anyway let’s agree to disagree, thank you for the lively debate!

France, Germany, UK, Italy, Netherlands, ...and are all fine
.I've corresponded with folks from all of those places...they wouldn't agree. In fact many of them if not ALL of them would LOVE to come to the USA.

a free market society that succeeded?
sure.
The United States between 1850 and 1911
worked just fine until it was regulated.

certainly i agree to disagree with you...you are WRONG.

Well it sounds like you’re surrounded by like-minded people...

is jumping to conclusions the only exercise you get?
what ever possessed you to say that?

Because even though every scientific study and survey states the opposite (people in those countries are happier on average with their system than American’s are), you know some people! I also know people in those countries, and they love it. It’s obvious you and I do not agree, so it is what it is. I don’t think there is anything more to say here....

run along now...
