Despite all my best efforts I don't seem to get past my first day allocation... not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'll keep trying for a little while longer.
I'm not necessarily in it for the money, it's a super sweet platform, but I haven't quite worked out why some posts get, say $60 and others get $0.03...

Heheheh just saw you are a baby here. Yeah we need to keep going. Was looking at your posts and they look to have a good quality. Now you just need a break and see if some popular steemians find your content and give you a good upvote. Eheheh it is all about the steem power. You need to be connecting and meeting people. Sometimes people just get there with a lucky strike some people have to grind harder to get there. But in the long term no matter what it is worth it. I wish you all the luck and keep coming here daily and i bet you will get your break.
