My St. Patrick's Day STEEM Forecast...$10...Oops.

I said before the new year that STEEM would be $10 by 3/17. Today is the day and I am only $8 off. An $8 miss in the price of AMZN, not so bad..on STEEM..not so good. Happy St Patricks Day to all our Irish members..$20 by 4th of July!!!

Too early my friend, it'll get there but this market needs to go through its ups and downs. Also, by the time we get there $10 may not to have the same value $10 have today. I believe inflation is creeping upon us, it'll be Jimmie Carter's / Reagan's inflation mess all over again, just the president names will be changed for the recent and current ones.

Yeah, central banks have pretty much run out of options. Quantitative easing is really all they have. What’s next, helicopter money? If they do that, I’m going all-in on crypto and silver.

Exactly, And even with all that easing, they havent gotten inflation. We should have seen 3%-5% with the money they threw around.

A slight pullback in the economy and they are going to have to drop the rates rapidly again.

Part of the problem is that they believe their own bogus numbers. The official CPI is almost certainly grossly understated and http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/inflation-charts is probably closer to the truth.

That is true..most of the government's numbers are total farces....

Like the unemployment number...other than charting trends, really doesnt tell much of a story.

I dont buy the inflation argument. The Fed has been trying for that for 10 years...going through unprecedented easing yet has hit the 2% mandate only a couple time. They parked $13T in the banks vaults and still couldnt get it. We are on two decades without wage growth plus more of the economy is under the laws of IT.

That is a deflationary rate they cannot win against...and I dont think the Fed/Congress is even slightly aware of that. Their tightening is only going to put a foot on the throat of the economy, one which isnt quite as hot as they advertise.

I don't have a crystal ball, but I do have an astrological chart. No kidding. And I'm pretty accurate. Your $20 forecast by July, according to my charts probably won't happen. There are some significant internal changes within Steemit that will be taking place over the next few months. There is a possibility that these changes may occur prior to July 1st. If so Steem will go up for a bit. Blessings.

I don't see any good news for Bitcoin in the short term (this year). there will be major challenges from governments and banking systems. Unfortunately as Bitcoin goes so does most of the other Crypto's. Steemit has a better chart but will still be challenged. Some of the challenges will come from growing pains within it's own system and adjustments that must be made. But... well, there is a decent chance I'm FOS. Hope so. I don't see Steem doing much better than it is right now... perhaps back up to $3.00.

It's okay, taskmaster. No one had a crystal ball to predict the future but I believed the STEEM blockchain will rise after this bloody FUD. Tough times do not last, tough blockchains do. Upvoted!

Brother here is hoping. I also thought we would be at between $10 and $14 by St Patrick's Day instead it seems like we might be spiraling down for at least a little while longer.

That sucks.

Would be nice, but I’d be quite happy with $10. Steem has yet to hit double digits, so that’s long overdue.

Lots of FUD to get through, but eventually the dam will burst.

That is my view @preparedwombat.

At some point, when the fortunes reverse, we will see an explosion. I am using the belief that the longer it is held down, the more powerful the breakout.

We might go from low to mid single digits to mid teens very quickly once the upward move starts.

As you mentioned elsewhere, we need to see SMT and the HF20 to really get the action going.

Yeah, STEEM is being dragged down by all cryptocurrency market losing its inflated value... We just have to keep publishing high quality content and make Steemit great again.

I also liked one idea that I read recently - what if every SBD used for promotion got burned? That way, we would know that those who promote their posts are helping the whole community and the Promoted section might be worth checking out again...

I don’t think anyone forsaw the blood bath that has been happening all over the crypto world. I was totally with you on the steem price estimate.
Then FUD happened. Mainstream media created so much of it and scared noobie investors away.

Is March a bad month for cryptos in general? Last year, Steem was at 7 cents and everyone here was going bananas (according to some that were here)... I didn't think your prediction would happen, but don't worry about it.

I like what you said about the 'sharper the drop, the bigger the rebound'. ☺

I honestly don't mind what the price of Steem is... while it's cheap it feels like many people are discouraged from posting which hopefully means that those of us that continue to work at it might get more followers, etc. As I've mentioned before, I'm not looking to start powering down anytime soon, so any Steem I earn now could effectively be worth $100 because hopefully that's the price it is when I might start to power down to spend some.... maybe.

I agree with you @aussiejinja.

The longer the price action keeps going like it is, the more powerful the reversal will be. We are seeing the development and growth of the blockchain taking place on a weekly basis. At some point, the pricing action will match what is going on here.

Of course, we can say since the first of the year, it has not....and it might continue to be that way for a while.

Bitcoin technicals look very bleak with 'experts' seeing a fall through present levels. As bitcoin calls the shots on crypto courage levels to invest I wouldn't be abandoning your day job just yet

I wish it could be that high, but personally, I don't think so. I expect $2 by the end of March. The google banning crypto ads sure did crypto a hit. But I expect $4 by the beginning of summer due to HF20 and (hopefully) the release of SMTs. From there, I expect it to grow to $10 by the end of this year as crypto gains momentum and more and more countries and accept cryptos.
