A smart goal would need to satisfy the following components.

  • It should be specific.
  • It should be measurable.
  • It should be achievable.
  • It should be time bound.

Hahahaha.....sure. what about non-smart goal!!!!😏

Lol. Ok, let me think about that.

I agree with all of these especially a smart goal being measurable. A lot of people forget to make their goals measurable, an example is setting a goal to pass (in my school, having a C is pass), whereas you can set a goal to have an A or B.

Thank you @soorefunmi. I appreciate the example you gave. Its inspiring

Rightly said!

Exactly

I think you forgot to mention that the goal should be realistic as well..... but then achievable kind of sums it up. Nevermind...lol

Yes, we have many unrealistic goals anyway. Okay. Lol

Not to mention you have to hold yourself accountable too.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Accountability!!!

more like a SMART rule when writing objectives in proposals! As simple as those points seem, they are actually the major determinant of many successful accomplishments! Especially the first, SPECIFICITY

Exactly, each can be expanded into a more detailed article. I agree with you boss.

I have a goal...
I am my goal...
