I just threw up a little in my mouth...

I noticed that.
What is the endgame here?
I am so confused. Just to get continue to ruin STEEM?
Did they short it?

Hopefully they will left when both sbd and steem come to 1 usd.

Like kinds tend to stick together.

All at the same time, that is not clever. Voting power dimin.. Diminush..looses its worth for every upvote.. Hmm why not wait 144 minutes in between. I guess it is not part of their SLA:))

Because he just comes to collect his STEEM, re-power down so it pulls more of the STEEM next round. While here for the brief moment, throw out a ton of upvotes to get curation rewards. Leave for a week. Rinse repeat.

So. You did discover that scheme.. You know his plan..
Wait a moment..

I would have set up a bot at least to maximise this.. People are so lazy these days!

Wasn't there some rescue fond for the users who got scammed by him?
Those users should downvote his upvotes now, just to get him back

There was, many were compensated partially and some fully. Legal action is also still on the table.

OMG, your right he's sending little bits from all his account to @zear and cashing out still, what a total scumbag.

Ha did you steal this from me? I pointed this out yesterday on @berniesanders post where he pointed out @ned finally downvoted @haejin.

I never saw it and I haven't seen @ned downvote, I know @dan started to downvote @haejin.

Oops that's what I meant @dan not ned. I'm just messing about you stealing it, but even if you did I'd be okay as you get a much wider audience then I do currently, and people need to be reminded this scumbag is still making money.

Keep up the great work.

Who is this guy?

Seems like it was years ago.
Nice article.

Hahaaaa....
This is so funny.....
Wondering what the endpoint will be though

Even when this situation?

How self-contradictory that the Steem White Paper itself forewarned against the consequences of this problem and yet Steemit Inc is doing nothing on a systemic basis to address it: "Any imbalance in the give and take within a community is unsustainable. Eventually the givers grow tired of supporting the takers and disengage from the community."

Disengagement is happening now as this sort of rampant reward pool abuse becomes more and more obvious. I am no longer going to publish original posts on this platform until it is addressed in a hard fork or some macro solution is applied.

I will continue to comment and bring attention to this evident flaw that has restricted the steem blockchain from realizing its full potential. I directed a tweet at Steemit Inc today doing just that. Their Twitter account has been inactive for weeks though so who knows if they'll see it or if they'll even care.

The only benefit I see of rampant obvious exploitation of a system is that it points out the glaring flaws in it. New user numbers fell off a cliff. User retention is still laughable. Only the foolish still believe that their dreams won't be memes in a system where actions like these aren't dealt with swiftly. Sure steem might be decentralized to a degree but steemit sure as hell isn't, and if there's one good thing about a centralized authority it's in its potential effectiveness at dealing with specific situations.

I think most users who can see past the bullshit leave immediately, and there are only a handful who stick around and try to get the word out, so it gets my hopes up when I see people addressing things like this. There are so many ways to make this place attractive to the average user and yet they deftly avoid all of the possible options.
