Hello Everybody!

The time you have all been waiting for has arrived! Week 33 of #zencolouringcontest ended yesterday, and now to announce the winners!

So without further ado, let's get on with the show(case)!

This entry was a common favourite among the voters in the Gallery of Entries post and Discord Sevrer.

In 3rd place:

I chose this one because of the pattern created by the colour palette they used. The use of white to highlight the contours is very clever, they accentuate the cold colors of blue and turquoise and also to make the flower section look more like a snowflake. I also really like how they created transparency in the blue and turquoise sections, it adds a nice effect and pairs well with the chosen background. The twist and tilt of the design is very intelligent, it creates depth without using shading!

In 2nd place:

@viking-ventures

I picked this one because of the very unique idea of making the stencil into something more. Transforming the design into a bicycle. The textures used in various segments around the figure 8 border of the design work well to illustrate the bicycle inspiration. The patterns of blue & turquoise in each wheel are very eye catching. I love how the pattern from the front wheel is in the center section of the rear wheel but both of them are still unique to each other. Fitting 3 separate pieces of art all together was very clever!

And in 1st place:

I chose this one as the winner because of how they cleverly turned the design into lollipops. The colour palette resembles sweets quite nicely and at the same time creates a lovely pattern. The mix of pale and darker colours accentuates that pattern and the inspiration of lollipops. The shading adds depth and also adds to the candy looks too. The patterns in the very center of each circle are so alluring and the use of black for the background highlights the whole design!
