Joged is a style of dance from Bali Island. The term Joged or Joget is also a popular word for dance in Indonesia. The dance is usually accompanied by a set of two bamboo machines called bumbung gamelan joged. Balinese dance is not just religious dance and weather, it is a social dance for entertainment purposes only. During the "Joged" performance, individual dancers or several women will perform and invite the male audience to dance with them. Dances, often involving dramatic movements and excitement, ranged from comic to seduction between dancers and their male counterparts. The dance is comparable with other Indonesian dance traditions. Such as Gwang Rong and Sunganiz Gyeongwan.
