Hello. Thank you for your thoughts. It's occurred to me that chimps and gorillas and orangutans (who learn sign language and the use of picture symbols to communicate with us) are as intelligent as we, or more so even. How many humans learn animal languages so successfully? It seems it is often the animal learning to read humans in order to have a smooth interaction, and we just expect them to do so.
