Did you know that @yoshiko is a talented stain glass artist? The other day, @yoshiko invited us to join her stain glass workshop. I love crafting!

Here is the group @ramengirl @threebagsfull @acromott and me with our finished products!

@yoshiko taught us how to make stars! This class took about 2 hours to complete. Stain glass art is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun!

You first start of with cutting the glass. @yoshiko prepared little pieces of sticker paper for us to trace with.

Next you use a grinder to file down the stars. Once the edges are all smooth, you wrap the stars in copper foil. IMG_5046.JPG

After the copper foil is done, you melt hot metal on top of the glass, to hold all of the pieces together!

Here is @threebagsfull and @acromott working hard to complete the project!

I just want to give a special thank you shout out to @yoshiko for opening her home to us and sharing her passion for stain glass art with us! Stain glass is a skill that takes many years to master, and she did a wonderful job teaching us! I had so much fun, and I am so grateful to have met you! Thank you!

This is really a hard task to perform, but full of fun for those who are in love with such type of work, working with glass is quite complicated and making such type of designs from it is even more difficult job to perform.

Totally agree! It was so hard! The metal kept melting off of my star. :P

Metals flow when they are melted, its natural, but handling them at that time that's a big deal.

Really great to see @yoshiko's work. I've been following her and always wondered about her glasswork (as I make pottery myself). Thanks for sharing :) Upvoted and following
